following many , many happy years of dreamweaver CS3 and editing VPASP 6.5 without issue
i had probs and lost my CS3

deciding it was time to upgrade i bought CS6

ONLY TO FIND OUT ASP AINT SUPPORTED IN DREAMWEAVER ANYMORE ??

Whit ? Urgh ? surely this cant be

when i connect to server and simply try and open an ASP file it simply
says , editor cannot be found for this type of file ???????

?????????????????

HELP ??????

Hi there,

We are still able to use Dreamweaver (older version) to edit ASP file. However we do not try yet if using latest Dreamweaver will be working fine with ASP file or not.

We are going to download latest Dreamweaver version and will try soon.

Just a follow up, the topic regarding using Dreamweaver for editing ASP file should already exist in one of our active forum post topic.

for reference SOLUTION for me was to associate ASP file type with dreamweaver in windows control panel "default programs"

this then allows file to be right clicked in dreamweaver and ability to use "open with"
