Hi guys,

I have an alternative code for "Youtube Movie link" section in the product setup page as below:

If your youtube URL like:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPI-mRFEIH0

You can put the following code to the "Youtube Movie link" field

https://www.youtube.com/embed/dPI-mRFEIH0

We''ve been using an alternative code for videos that have worked nicely and increased speed. Speed has been an increasingly important issue obviously. It takes some customization to the code and I don''t know a lot about the site owner, etc. but using the following: http://techbrij.com/tools/youtube-video-embed-code-generator.php

There''s a code that needs to be in the trailer plus the video code where you want the video to be located does the same but you''ll notice a huge increase in speed compared to the basic YouTube embed link. But there are some things we have learned and then comes the customization.

You have to find the YouTube coding and change it to everything in the top code except the YouTube number "example: dpi-mrfe2ho" and use the [youtube] to pull in the video "number" so all you really have to do is insert the number in the youtube field. Hope that makes sense. Plus, by default, the code comes with a http:// link which breaks your security certificate. That has to be changed.

I''m posting this for two reasons really. Maybe somebody can find something wrong with this code since we''ve only been using it a few months and it was something we have been searching for a long time.

I''m not sure if that''s affected the speed or not. I have tested by comparing between using the tools and using the default youtube embed code but it seems nothing''s different with the speed. both methods is working fine with my default test store.
