I just finished adding in the Currency Converter Add-on and was wondering if there was a way to schedule it to auto run daily (or maybe every few hours)? I have access to the task scheduler on the server, just not sure what to run.

Hi Mike,

It can be done but it would take a bit of tweaking of the code to achieve.

You need to set up a scheduled task to open your browser and then run shopa_updatecurrency.asp.

By default though this will not work as this page requires admin access.

If you need assistance in tweaking the page please post a ticket in the helpdesk and support can have a look to see what is required.

As a follow up forgot to add to comment out the following in shopa_updatecurrency.asp:

ShopCheckAdmin ""

Need to change to:

''ShopCheckAdmin ""

This is potentially a security risk but if you have changed the admin folder name to something completely unique then will be ok.

Then point your scheduled task to the shopa_upadtecurrency.asp file and set when you want it to run.

There are better ways of doing this but are more involved and specific to your server.
