Cart becomes empty after a few minutes of user inactivity. (10-15minutes)
Is it normal? How can i fix this bug?

Hi,
it''s not a bug. Go to Admin -> Cart Set Up -> Search field name cookie.
Make sure xsavesessioncookie is set to Yes

Alessandro,
To avoid frequent loss of session variables, check your application pool in IIS. Set the Private Memory Usage in ''Recycling'' to at least 500.000 kB.
Vpasp uses quite some memory space. When exceeding the allocate memory space, the application pool will be recycled resetting all application and session variables.
Of course, you need a (virtual) dedicated server to be able to access to your application pool. Otherwise, ask your host.
Kind regards,

Hi,
Have you try the official cart cookie module? This might be an alternative solution for your problem.
You could find it in http://www.vpasp.com/sales/addons700.asp
Hope this helps! |

Hi Alessandro,
I would love to know how your webmaster solved it. All I know is either by extending the timeout in IIS to 20 mins, or by using the cart cookie module. |

I really don''t know, he''s a software engineer and i''m just a majoring in economics with some basic marketing and seo.
I don''t understand logic programming and i can''t coding. This is like arab language for me :)
In the next release i think this will be included by default.
Anyways trust on me, contact Marco Piccirilli :)

We have a new module in beta for version 8 that will allow customers to add anywhere up to 400 to 500 products to the cart, close the browser and even come back next day and the items will all still be stored in the cart.
We have installed this into a couple of sites now so if you want it now you can submit a ticket in the helpdesk asking for a quote or it will be installed by default into version 8.
Thanks!
