This isn't directly about VP, but I didn't know where else to put it.
Thought I would open up a debate about conversion ratios. What do you think is a good conversion ratio for an ecommerce site (I know it depends on the type of site).
What I mean by conversion ratio is the number of sales to the number of unique visitors.
I have heard some say that 10% is poor, whilst others say that 2% is good. Just thought it might be good for everyone to see what others think.
We are in the adult industry (we sell sex toys) so our conversion rate is currently at 2.5%, but you have to remember we get a lot of voyeurs who have no interest in buying, they just want to look at women in lingerie.
