Good day,
I hope someone can help me with this...
We have upgraded from 4.0 to 7.0,
There is a table in the database called "proddescription" it contains table records like "description,features,specifications,morephotos"

They displayed when called from tmp_product.htm in 4.0 but not in 7.0

Here is how they look in tmp_product.htm:
<div id="sc2" class="tabcontent">
[DISPLAY_FEATURES]
<br />
</div>

<div id="sc3" class="tabcontent">
[DISPLAY_SPECIFICATIONS]
<br />
</div>

<div id="sc4" class="tabcontent">
[DISPLAY_SHIPPING]
<br />
</div>

<div id="sc5" class="tabcontent">
[DISPLAY_WARRANTY]
<br />
</div>

<div id="sc6" class="tabcontent">
[DISPLAY_MOREPHOTOS]
<br />
</div>

The table and records exist in the database, but for example, I get a message that says "Field specifications not in Database". Is this because it is not in the products table? If so, how can I call the "proddescription" table? What do I do to fix this???

Any ideas are welcome...

Hi,

I would suggest that these keywords were custom coded into your version 4.0 site. They are not default VPASP keywords.

Generally the processing of template keywords is done in shopfileio.asp or shopproductsubs.asp so I would look in your version 4.0 copies of these files to see if you can locate the custom code that handled this.

You will then need to migrate this custom code into the version 7.0 files.

If you need assistance migrating custom code from your old site to the new, feel free to get in touch at http://www.creativechaos.com.au/contactus.htm for an obligation free estimate.

Cheers

Thanks for the tip! Didn't find the custom code...
I am thinking I could move the data base fields to the products table. Any one done anything like that in SQL?
