I am trying to get my database setup with mysql and I have edited the shop$config.asp as shown below.

const xDatabase="mysql" 'Database name
const xdblocation="E:/MySQL/data/mysql" 'location of database relative to VP-ASP files

'NOTE - XDATABASETYPE SHOULD BE ENTERED IN UPPER CASE LETTERS
const xdatabasetype="MYSQL" ' Database type: leave empty for Access or change to one of the options shown below
'const xdatabasetype="ODBC"
'const xdatabasetype="Drive"
'const xdatabasetype="SQLServer"
'const xdatabasetype="MYSQL"
'const xdatabasetype="MYSQL351"
'const xdatabasetype="ACCESS2007"

const xSQLUser="root" ' SQL Server user
const xSQLPwd="*********" ' SQL Server password
const xSQLServer="localhost" ' SQL Server name or IP address

Below is the settings I put in for the convertmysql.asp

Filename create650mysql.txt
Database mysql
Username root
Password
Server URL localhost
Database Type MYSQL

When I try and run the convert I get the following error message:

Could not connect to the database

Open Messages
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

DRIVER={MySQL}; Server=localhost; Database=mysql; UID=root; PWD=******
Sql completed. Records read=0

Anyone have any ideas or am I missing a step? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Chughes,

Have you try putting MYSQL351 in xdatabasetype? Maybe work?
