I would like to set up 2 sites using one database. I have read the Helpnote about this and was wondering if by doing this I could/would use only 1 admin site to access the database.

Hi John,

As you are running 2 sites each one will be using its own admin.

You can do mopst functions through one but when changing Set-Up options for your second site you will need to log into the second admin and reload the settings.

I have another question. I want to be able to add the xshopid when an order is written to the database, even if its cancelled. probably using other1 field. I can't seem to find the function that adds the record to the database. I found where the payment info is added, but that measn an order has to go through the payment first. Any hints as to where I should look.

I found the correct location..ShopAddOrder in shop$db.asp. Does vpasp use the other1 or other2 fields for anything?

Hey John,

I think those fields are free for you to use for whatever you want. Pretty sure it wont affect anything if you use other1 or other2 for storing your shopid
