Hello,

We are setting up again on a new server, just from scratch.

Whatever we try we are getting the following error message when selecting Admin Login from the default page.

The first like is just a debug I added.

* from tbluser where fldusername=''admin'' and fldpassword=''admin''

ADODB.Connection error ''800a0e78''

Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.

/vpasp/shopadmin.asp, line 147

Checked Permissions
Checked Path
Followed a few suggestions found on the web for this error from VPASP

const xAccessOLE="Yes" '' Yes uses Jet Ole 4.0 for Access
const xsqloledb="No" '' use SQL Server standard

Tried both Yes and No

const xdatabasetype="" '' Database type: leave empty for Access or change to one of the options shown below
''const xdatabasetype="ODBC"
''const xdatabasetype="DRIVE"
''const xdatabasetype="SQLServer"
''const xdatabasetype="MYSQL"
''const xdatabasetype="MYSQL351"
''const xdatabasetype="ACCESS2007"

Tried "" and DRIVE

Running Windows 7 64
Office 2013

thanks

Ok fixed. We had not set the Application Pool to 32 bit.

As explained by VP-ASP Support ;

When trying to run VP-ASP in Windows Vista 64 bit and using Access as the database, you might receive the following error message:

ADODB Connection error ''800a0e78''
Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.
/shop$db.asp, line 1465

To resolve this issue, please enable the Application Pool to run 32-bit applications.

Below are the steps to enable 32-bit applications on 64-bit Vista through IIS Manager :

In IIS Manager, Application Pools.
In the list of Application Pools, select the application pool you have configured for use with VP-ASP.
In the Actions pane, select Advanced Settings under Edit Application Pool.
Expand the General settings, set Enable 32-bit Applications to True, and click OK.
