Hi,

We have a customer who we have integrated SagePay onto their online VP-ASP shop.

SagePay is taking payment great and processing everything but after a successful credit card payment is made our customer is asking if SagePay can send the purchaser an email confirming that the payment has been made from their credit card. Currently this doesn't happen.

I have been trying to establish firstly if this is possible but cannot find this out. If it is possible, clearly I will have to work out how to enable it on their account.

Any idea if SagePay can send a confirmation email to the customer when a credit card payment is successfully taken?

there's a parameter you can pass across along with the other fields that you send to sagepay/protx when you take the customer across to the sagepay site:

SendEMail

values are:
0 (for Do not send either customer or vendor e-mails)
1 (for Send customer and vendor e-mails if addresses are provided)
2 (for Send vendor e-mail but NOT the customer e-mail)


I'm not sure about the generic vpasp sagepay/protx gateway addon, but our version (byz131) has that as one of the configuration settings (byz131 is currently only available for vpasp6.0to6.5, but if anyone needs it for v7 then let us know)

either way, it should be quite easy to track down the bit from the vpasp interface side which has the sagepay fields, and then you can just change/add the SendEMail parameter/value accordingly

Would you expect the SendEmail parameter to be on the configuration screens, or will it be a dive into the code?
