I have set my cc encryption to encrypt. That worked ok. Then I set it back to don't encrypt. It keeps encrypting. Haven't changed the encryption key or even touched it. All my orders now I can't fill because I can't read the cc numbers.

How can I get out of this situation?

Whenever you change a configuration variable such as you did, you need to reload shop configuration. Now the server has the right stuff.

Everyone should know (needs to know) how to reload the shop configuration!

Log in to your admin, click on "configuration". That might be all that is needed, but press "reload shop configuration" just to be sure.

This is for version 5, I'm not sure about the others.
