Sorry for being really noobish here but I cannot locate the sql string to add into the products table.

I have to add a shipping-by-size-weight entry into the database and for the life of me I cannot find the sql string that inserts a new products information into the database.

Please help, this is really frustrating.

Hi Paul,

it's much easier (and a lot safer) to add any new products or product information to the database by using the Admin Panel products screen. If you need a field for your shipping size, weight etc. choose one of the empty fields in the product table like pother1. If you are using VP-ASP 6.50 then check pages 78-80 of the user manual which give details on using other fields.
