 Ho to empty the cart after order is complete?		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

After the customer successfully returns from Paypal and comes to shopthanks, I want the following to happen:
1. The customer should still be logged in.
2. The cart should be empty.

How can I achieve this? I tried but could not find a clean way. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

That is how it works by default.

You will need to try with the default files to have this work properly.

Cam,

I have made major changes in shopthanks so probably I have lost this functionality.

Can you please point me to the function that does this so that I can take it from there?

You need to ensure you have the following sub in your modified shopthanks.asp:

ShopCancelOrder

This sub clears everything from the cart at the end of the order process.

I have purchased Techred template and all relevant files comes with that.

When customer redirected to shopthanks.asp from say Paypal the Shopping Cart (LHS corner, techred) still shows the total and link "View Cart". Actually, the cart is appear to be empty when View cart is clicked.

should i check never touched shopsthanks.asp?

Hi Alex,

Try opening shopthanks.asp and locating the following referece:

ShopCancelOrder

Move this so it is on th eline above:

shoppageheader

Save and test.

Make sure you back your files up first.
