| We had an order with a payment that was settled successfully through Authorize.net, but on VP-ASP the same order showed that the payment was not processed due to a duplicate transaction. Indeed, there were subsequent transactions on different orders from the same customer that were duplicates. But the FIRST one was in fact successfully settled. QUESTION: Can there be multiple Authorize.net transactions on a single order? Our theory is that the customer might have clicked twice on the submit button, creating two Auth.net transactions on the same order, with the second one (a duplicate) coming back to VP-ASP before the first (presumably) successful one. Is this even possible? If it is, how do we avoid it in the future? |
