What's the filename/URL of the page you're referring to?

The first thing you need to do is read the manuals. It answers all the basics (people dont usually answer basics here). As far as what to edit, you have to have some experience. You should be able to look at it and find that where you need to change. If not, then you really need to go lear programining in html and asp before you can make modifications to the software.

THose two template files ARE HTML and are the ones you need to edit. You should be aopk then, just look at them and edit where you need.

the product summary page doesn't use templates by default (and that sample link isn't using them).
My personal request for a vpasp enhancement is....
there should be 2 types of product-summary templates; one for those that are "spreadsheet-like" (simple rows/columns with a single heading row at the top, as per the default) and one for "matrix-like" (where the products get repeated and are self-contained within their box with no heading row at the top)
so, when not using the templates for the summary (as in the sample link in the posting above) you'll need to delve into the asp code to widen the column.....
to do that, go into shop$colors.asp, and look for: const ProdDescriptionColumn="<td valign=middle bgcolor='#FFFFFF'>"
and then change that to something like:
const ProdDescriptionColumn="<td valign=middle bgcolor='#FFFFFF' width=400>"
(it's one of those strange things that catches most people off-guard, and personally I've gone round in circles before for ages trying to work out why changing the summary templates doesn't change the output)

If not using templates, I think you just need to change your config options to add the "More..." link to the summary items.....
login into admin, go into configuration, then play with these options:
products 2>xgenerateshopexdlink
you also might like to change: xcarthyperlink if you want the product to be linkable from the view-cart page.
