This is the 1st real problem i have had working with VPASP.

I was changing around template colors and adding new products when my site randomly went offline. I tried calling Godaddy thinking this was a Godaddy problem. They even replaced my Windows server thinking it could have been the cause.

In Chrome i get:

This webpage has a redirect loop
The webpage at http://www.adultpornstarcontent.com/shoperror.asp has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

I don''t know what is wrong and my site is offline completely. HELP ME!!!!!!

Hello Brandon:
I have the same problem. Can you tell me how you got around the error and what was causing it?

I''ve been running VPASP for 9 years with no problems. Just last month our ISP moved us from a server running Windows 2003 to a Windows 2012 R2 server. About once a week since I get the ''too many redirects'' error and my site is down. Our ISP got our site running again last night by ''restarting the worker process that manages connections to your site''. He thinks the ASP code isn''t properly releasing the database connects, but he''s not sure why.

I suspect this has more to do with the server settings than the coding in the VPASP cart but I know absolutely nothing of either from a technical view point.

I''m running VPASP version 7.

Cam, can you give some suggestions here?

Thank you!
Dale

Hi Inkmagic,

I guess your problem is a SEO issue. Set xSEODynamicEnable="No" to check.

It may have something to do with the Response.AddHeader method giving a different result under IIS7.

Check the url in Response.AddHeader "Location",friendlyURL (shopdisplaycategories.asp, shopdisplayproducts.asp). The latter should be different from the current page url.

Kind regards,

Erik
