Our website currently has prices on it excluding VAT (tax). We want to look into making the prices inclusive rather.

I realise xtaxincludedinprice needs to be set to Yes.
It also looks like I need to change the percentage in shoptax.asp... But where do I change this? SA VAT is at 14%.

Then, if all our products have been entered into the database ex VAT, then will we need to change all the prices of the all the products to include VAT?

Hi,

You need to enter the tax rate into countrytaxrate field in country record. I believe you could access this through Home » Advanced Settings » International » View/Edit Countries menu.

For 14% tax rate, you would need to enter 0.14 in countrytaxrate field.

Hi,
Thank you. I checked this and it was at 0.14 so that setting is correct. We need to change our site from ex VAT to inclusive of VAT due to changes in our country's Consumer Act.

All our products (about 1500 products!) were added using VAT exclusive prices. I know I need to set xtaxincludedinprice to Yes but this obviously doesn't automatically change the prices for each product. Will I need to change the prices of each product individually or is there an quicker way to do this?
