I am struggling with v7.1's ability to display multiple product images. Am I missing something here? There are feilds for 5 product images, and zoom versions, but they do not appear on the site?

I am using version 7 plus with the latest update pack installed (late Jan 2011)

Any help would be nice! Thanks

Do you mean like this?

http://www.redco.com/shopexd.asp?id=1282

I just have a reference to the first image in the Large Image field and the other in the Additional Image 1 field.

4.16.5.2 Multiple images per product
To display multiple images for a product, you can use the extra image fields in the product record to hold the references to the extra images.
You just need to upload your product images in the #8213;Additional Image 1 – 5 fields#8214; under the edit product page in control panel.
These codes below in the template file tmp_product.htm under /templates/default 2 or 3 cols folder
is designed to display the extra images:

$ <tr><td valign=middle align=CENTER><img src="[extraimage1]" border="0" alt="[translate cname]" /></td></tr>
$ <tr><td valign=middle align=CENTER><img src="[extraimage2]" border="0" alt="[translate cname]" /></td></tr>
$ <tr><td valign=middle align=CENTER><img src="[extraimage3]" border="0" alt="[translate cname]" /></td></tr>
$ <tr><td valign=middle align=CENTER><img src="[extraimage4]" border="0" alt="[translate cname]" /></td></tr>
$ <tr><td valign=middle align=CENTER><img src="[extraimage5]" border="0" alt="[translate cname]" /></td></tr>

ah ha. Thank you Ironwalker, Slowly getting to the bottom of this now. Nowhere in my tmp_product.html page is this code displayed. Where should this code go? Do I have to add this manually? It all seems hugely technical - I presumed this would just work when I added the extra images in the control panel!

VP-ASP is pretty good, but you need to know your stuff before you can get it to work! Any help would be appreciated....

It's manual customization to your templates that display the product,
You can also add highslide image zoomer here as well.
Need Help? call or e-Mail for customization services

Just to let you guy know - there's no need for any customizing. Here is the response I received from VP-ASP support..

"We have enabled xgenerateshopexdlink setting in Software Configuration section in your administration page. This will add a link on your products on shopdisplayproducts.asp page that will redirect your customer to the extended description page (shopexd.asp)."
