Hi Forum,

Any quick way to display only new products from a certain category?

I was trying this: shopdisplayproducts.asp?search=yes&cat=New%20Products&id=5

But has no effect...

Hi Ben,

What you need to do is to create a category and then add the new products to this category.

We do not currently have a module where you can display on a page the latest products although it is in the wings.

Thank you.

Would be nice, I've been asking for this for about 5 years! Not exactly rocket science is it.

Get from prodcuts where createddate = today minus x days = NEW

Or you can just create a link to a page that has this code:

<!-- #include file="shop$db.asp" -->
'display all new products within the last 3 months
<%
newdate=date()-90
newdate=datedelimit(newdate)
sql="select * from products where hide=0 and cdateavailable>=" & newdate
debugwrite sql
setsess "sql", sql
response.redirect "shopdisplayproducts.asp?search=yes"
%>

This could easily be adapted to display products from only certain categories eg
response.redirect "shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=624&search=yes"
