Is there a shipping setting that i might not be aware of?

I have two shipping options listed: one for pickup ($5 base cost) and one for canada post (pointing to the canadapostxml.asp file which our merchant settings have been filled in)

When i use the cart to simulate a customer order, I get the shipping option (pickup or canada post) and regardless of what i choose, the following steps reflect the product costs without the shipping. I am not sure why shipping isn't applied.

Any thoughts?

Incidentally, I doubt this is related but...

I can't add the UPS Real Time Shipping.

I get as far as clicking 'add ups real time shipping' and then 'next' where i am greeted with 'ERROR: DATA RETRIEVAL FAILED'


I'm hoping there is a simple explanation behind shipping not working.


Everything else in the checkout process works

*update*
turned the xajaxshipping to 'yes' and Canada Post has kicked in....the cost for pickup (base cost $5) is still not showing up...

I have the pickup pricing working (we dont charge for pickup but i needed to test it to ensure things were working).

I cant say for certain but i think the trick is making sure the area for pickup pricing matches the xshippingcalc.


UPS is the only troubling one left. I think i might have to support ticket that one.

ERROR: DATA RETRIEVAL FAILED usually related to codepage issue or encryption/decryption of the UPS developer key. but i think for sure check with vpasp support.
