We have encountered many requests from clients recently to make the product features handled as separate products. For example, the ability to have a "pink" sweater, (where pink = 1 of 5 product features in a pull down), can be set to debit an inventory - so when pink= 0 then pink does not show in the pulldown.
Also- the ability to turn Tax on/off and shipping on/off with variable amounts to be set on a certain selection in a pulldown have been needed recently also.
So if Pink needed tax and shipping but Red did not then we could set this. Also if Pink needed no tax but did need shipping then we can set this. We may want to set just Pink shipping at a variable rate within the product features also. So if Red needed 2.00 shipping but pink needed only 1 dollar shipping then we could set it.
I know this system is powerful and perhaps there are ways around this but I just thought I would add my 2 cents.
