I tried this on my VPASP v6.08 site

1. I entered in the URL
http://www.mystore.com/shopquery.asp?search=yes&pother1=doris

It displayed the correct product list (pother1=designer) for me and the URL of the displayed page is http://www.mystore.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?search=yes

2. I then entered the next search URL
http://www.mystore.com/shopquery.asp?search=yes&pother1=martin
(basically searching by another designer)

The displayed product list did not change. It's still showing products by Doris.

3. I tried searching using other fields eg mfg=Creative yet still showing Doris products.

If I close the browser, opens a new one and then type in the URL for "martin", it'll work correctly this time.

Yet if I then type in the second shopquery.asp string, it doesn't seem to work and will still continue to display "martin" products.

--------------------------------------
As a test, I tried entering all the three search strings above into the Search textbox and the correct product listing results are given;
- doris
- martin
- Creative

This leads me to believe there's a cache that could be causing the problem here?

Basically what I would like to do is to be able to create text links like those below with each link linking to their own shopquery URL
Products by Doris
Products by Martin
Products from Creative

Appreciate any help given. Thanks.

Jeff

it should work fine like that; it sounds more like a bug than a cache problem, where the session value isn't being properly set.

May I ask where do I check for this Session Value? I don't seem to find it at shopconfig file.

And what is the proper setting for this Session Value?
