Greetings,
I've gotten so many tips from this board I figured I would share one of mine!
I started out with VPASP 3.0 about 1-1/2 years ago. then upgraded to 3.50. Skipped 4.0. Now I am in the process of doing a Full manual upgrade to 4.50.
I am running both version 3.50

Until I finish the manual upgrade
I had over 5000 Lines and products into subcat 4 in my 3.50 products table. With some house cleaning I got it down to about 3500 Lines. The New Subcat table sure makes things alot easier.
Anyway, I have the shopping cart set up to display 16 products per page. With so many products in each sub catagory or sub-sub catagory I ended up having 2, 3, or 4 pages needed to to display all the products in any given sub catagory.
My problem was the text to display page navigation was very small and off to the left hand side. In version 4.5 you can use images for page navigation, but I wanted customers to know how many pages there were to view. To see what I changed click below and scroll to the bottom of the page:

The text now reads "View More Items on Page 1 2 3 etc.".
When you click on a number the number shrinks and turns black.
This example is using version 4.50
I also have the code to make this change in 3.50
This requires making changes to 'shop$db.asp'
If anyone wants this code email me and I will send it.
Or if its ok I can post it here, I just don't want to be responsible for someone messing up their 'shop$db.asp'
