The lightbox has been removed from downloads.

It was added as a free add-on AS IS however we were receiving too many support calls and complaints that it didn't do this or that so we just pulled it from the page.

We do not mind developing free add-ons for our customers but not if they cause the number of demands that we received with this one.

When we get time we will revisit it again and put up a more complete version however as it is a free add-on it is pretty far down our list.

Thanks
Cam

Can someone who may have it share with others? Completely separate and understanding that there is no support...

I posted it here:
http://www.1stintunes.com/ddlightbox650.zip
The installation file contains some notes/clarifications I added.
To see the script at work, go here:
http://www.1stintunes.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=231&cat=Big+Band
and click on a thumbnail image.
To see a more complex extension of the script, go here:
http://www.1stintunes.com/shopexd.asp?id=57487
Mouseover the thumbnails, then click one to see the larger image in lightbox form.
It's a great effect!

Thanks, I hope it helps someone. I suggest clicking on the belly-dancing LP thumbnail in the first example- the large image is very impressive!

hey dandylin that looks great, do you have the edits that you made to this page?

http://www.1stintunes.com/shopexd.asp?id=57487

I would like to include both the javascript and the lightbox. Great work!

All the lightbox info is in the zip file linked above. Once you have it working, use a custom template that you can get here (please keep my credits in place):
http://www.1stintunes.com/tmp_img600.zip
The template's name must be inserted into the product's Template field and the image URL's placed in the appropriate product extra image fields. The template, which is written for v6.50, looks for them in Extra Image 1-5. If extra images are not found, just the Extended Image is displayed but the light box zoom still works.
Hope this helps.

Oh DD how did you remove the blue border around the lightbox image? That right is stumping me and also how did you get the description to appear in the image?

The border is handled by the lightbox stylesheet. You apparently did not put it in the existing VPASP/stylesheets folder.
The description is handled by this portion of the template line:
title="[cdescription]"
The entire line reads:
<a href="[extendedimage]" rel="lightbox" title="[cdescription]"><img src="[cimageurl]" alt="[cname]" id="mainimage" /></a>

Hello Dan,

Your effort is appreciate a lot. The function is working seamlessly. However, I have some difficulty with the 3rd largest image appearence.

I have set the images in shop config as follows:

Image - small size (for front page in tmp_frontpage.htm I'm using part of the tmp_thumbnail.htm code)

Large Image - medium size (used as extended product desciption image)

Additional Image - large one (supposed to be brought by click on extended description image)

My problem is that the small size image appears in the light box.

What do you think the problem is? I'm not a programmer by the way.
I saw your advanced code which has reference to extraimage1,2,3. Is that what I'm missing?

Cheers,

Alex

I'm sorry but I have published everything I know about this add-on.
Go back through my notes and downloads, then try some experiments and I'm sure you will get it working.
Good luck!
Dan

I have incorporated the lightbox into my store and I love it. I was using some older lightbox code previously and with the changes I've made to the way images are stored and displayed, the lightbox code works perfectly.
