Can anyone give me a rundown on the pros and cons of AIM vs SIM? Do I have to purchase my own SSL for AIM, or can I use of the freebie shared versions? Any recommendations/horror stories? I am currently using SIM, but am thinking of switching to AIM as I go through the upgrade to 6.5.

You do need your own SSL certificate when using ANAIM. You can purchase one from www.instantssl.com fairly cheaply.

Using SIM is very secure as you do not have to worry about credit cards in any form however as long as you do not store cards on your site ANAIM is safe as well.

Hope this helps
