If I have a total of six shorts ( 3 green and 3 red).
How do I set up the products.

Do I put a 6 for the parent product stock level
and a 3 for each child product.

If I leave the parent product blank, it say out of stock.
If I enter as described above it doesn't say out of stock and does it automatically update appropriate child and parent stock level after completion of order.

Or do I use a different template for this.

Thanks
Dwight

Hey Dwight, you first need to create your parent product. However, you can leave the stock field blank. Then for each child product, you add 3 as the stock (in your example). It shouldn't say out of stock for the parents product, at least it doesn't for me. If you set xstockcontrol to yes, it will decrement stock for the relevent sub product on completion of the order.

Hope that helps,
Gonzo

Thanks For your reply. My problem was that when I imported some products they had a "0" in the cstock field. Removing the "0" took care of the prblem.
Thanks Again.
Dwight
