Probably a stupid question but how do you turn Affiliates OFF?

I can see tonnes of settings for Affiliates in the admin setup but nothing to actually disable it.

Anyone know how?

Hi Mike,

There is not actually a setting to turn affiliates off.

You can however set affallowaffiliatesrevieworders to No so affiliates cannot view any reports and you can also just remove the link for affiliates from your site.

You will also need to set xaffviewreports, affmailorder and affallowlinkreport to No as well.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

I ended up just commenting out the affiliate lines 199-201 (VP-ASP 6.50 - add affiliate link to customer page) in shopcustadmin.asp.

I have set everything to no aswell as you suggested.

This has been updated in newer versions of VP-ASP (I'm using version 7). To turn off affiliates go to Software Configurations>Settings>Affiliate Options and set xaffiliateenable to NO in software configurations. I couldn't find this in VPASP_700_User_Manual.pdf.

i can see in the manual of v7 chapter 14 Affiliates.

it said : Xaffiliateenable Setting this to Yes to enable affilate features.

maybe you better redownload the latest user manual from vpasp.
