I'm running a store as a catalog for the moment until i work out a suitable shipping mechanism since we sell big machinery equipment.

I want to let the users request more info about a product via a contact form.

How can i add a button that will open up the form and collect the product name in the email sent to me.

many thanks

VP-ASP 6.0x and 6.50 have a "Ask a question" program.
Set in Shop Configuration
xproductquestion=Yes

This will display a hyperlink when product is displayed.
It will display product name and allow customers to email you based on a form.

In extended product displays (shopexd.asp), add this line to tmp_product.htm

<a href="shopquestion.asp?id=[catalogid]">Question about the product</a>

Howard - $60 is a lot of money for your PDF manual now that 6.5 comes with a couple of PDF manuals? What do you have extra that adds $60 of value to the new VP-ASP manual?

Do you cover how to customize the store so that there is one right (panel) column for category navigation and NO left-sided navigation column?

I'm trying to decide whether to purchase the BYZ's Panel splitter which would meet my needs.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Mark

I just got it recently, and while I haven't read through it completely it is a handy refenrence. It is laid out a lot better than the generic manual.

The Guide to VP-ASP manual is written in an entirely new format. It is like having a expert at your side. For people new to VP-ASP we believe this will be quite an eye opener and easy to follow.

For experts we include Volumes 2 and 3 (which are free) which include detailed coding examples, database structure, how fields are used and more.

We also include free software. The first of these is a content search facility which allows your customers to search the contents table.

With our money back guarantee, we let you decide whether it is worth the $60.

We also do VP-ASP customizations at reasonable prices and quick turn around.
