I have had a web site for over 10 years, using VPASP 5.5 with SQL2k. Perhaps because this site has been around for so long, my ranking in Google or Yahoo is very good, usually in the top 10 for certain key words. No problems, this is all fine. I do use Google adwords, spend about $800/mo. in advertising via Google adwords.

My new site is similar to the existing site (same products), uses VPASP 6.09 and SQL2005. I generated an xml site map, submitted this to Google last month, and also spend several hundred $ in Google adwords. Problem is, my new site is pretty much nowhere to be found on search engines.

Question is, does anyone have suggestions in how to increase the visibility of a new web site? Should I sign on to a site promotion service, and spend the money to have professionals work towards increasing visibility? Anyone have success with any of these services, any recommendations?

If it is a new site, it can take up to 3 months to get listed.
You have top make sure all the titles, keywords and descriptions are good on all pages.

Keep checking google with Site:yoursite.com to see if pages are indexed.
