Our site is VP-ASP Plus 6.09. I would like the categories list to sort by alpha but it is sorting by categoryid (numericly). I've looked at the field xsortcategories and it is set to catdescription. I've looked at the code in shopproductsubs.asp for NavigateShowCategories() and it has
'VP-ASP 6.08 - Order by config option rather than hardcoded
catSQL=catsql & " order by " & getconfig("xsortcategories")
' catSQL-catsql & " order by catdescription"
for NavigateShowCategoriesStyled() both catSQL lines are commented out.

When the ' is removed from the xsortcategories line the Category List nav menu then sorts by alpha using catdescription. |
