I am creating a store selling banknotes. I need to sort the notes by what is called a Renniks number.

So I want to have a custom field when entering the products for Renniks.

I also want to add some other custom fields such as grade, year.

I will also need to know code to put in the product template to make these display.

Hi there,

In the product table we have 8 spare fields that can be used for whatever purpose you like.

You can then update your template to display these fields with whatever caption you decide to use in the HTML.

By specifying the sort order in the xsortproduct field you can list how your products should be displayed.

Thanks for the reply.

I assume this is the Other1, Other2, etc.

How do I reference them in the product template? I tried [Other1] without luck.

Can the other fields be renamed to something more meaningful?

The reference needs to be something like:

Grade: [pother1]

If you locate the name "other1" in the edit languages section you can change the caption for the admin to a more specific title.

I changed the language for langproductother1 as per below but it still displays as Other1 when adding or editing products.
