I am new to VP-ASP, and want to get a simple ecommerce site up and running. Nothing complex, just want to use the delivered code for now. when I select a product from the home page, I believe these are "best sellers" or featured products. I get
This feature is not in VP-ASP 6.00 Free Version
Automatic Extended descriptions

How do I just get it to display the product or get rid of the products displaying on that home page.

remove the link from tmp_frontpage.htm

Hi Lurwin,

You can change the random front page display to show the short product description by opening tmp_frontpage.htm and locating all references to shopexd.asp.

shopexd.asp?id=[catalogid]&bc=no

Change to:

shopquery.asp?catalogid=[catalogid]&bc=no

If you want to send an email to http://www.vpasp.com/sales/shopcustcontact.asp we will forward an updated file for you.

You can only have the full description pages display if you have the full version however.
