I recently setup a new shopping cart and am trying to update the products for the shopping using the adminsitrative functionality/backend.

When I go to "Add a Product", there are two fields, one is for short description and the other is for long description. I entered the descriptions for each of the fields and save the changes made. When the changes are saved and short description shows the text that was entered, but the long description field is empty. The information that was entered has disappear.

Has anyone experience this and can someone point me in the right direction to fix this problem? Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Aazure!

I had a similar problem with a site using SQL Server - it's something to do with the order of the fields in the table.

Support told me to open my database in Enterprise Manager and make sure that in the products table the cdescription and extendeddesc are the last two fields in the table and that they are in this order -

cdescrioption
extendeddesc
