I ran into this in V4.00 and still in V4.50. The default shipping method displayed in the drop down selector at the customer checkout is displayed alphabetically. Such as Express which may have $18 will be the default before Standard that might have $4 shipping.
To display shipping in the order in the shipping table.
In shopshippingcalc.asp locate:
SQL="Select * from shipmethods order by shipmethod" around line 103 and 514. Change shipmethod to shipmethodid. This will prevent customers from accidently defaulting to the wrong shipping method. I missed this on the upgrade and customers were questioning again.
The current method doesn't have the flexiblity that this change affords.
Support should change this and update the doumentation as stating "Will display in order in the shipping method table".
