Hi,

Please check your international configuration settings in your shop administration pages.

You may need to set xcurrencybase and xcurrencysymbol to reflect your local settings.

Thank you

I'm looking for a resolution to this issue now.

I have set xcurrencybase to GBP
xcurrencysymbol to £
xlcid to 2057
And I still get US$ displayed as currency symbol. What else needs changed to correctly show the local currency?

and it stil displays US$

Hi Jim,

There are several things you need to do to setup default currency. If you want to setup you default currency to UK you need to setup these fields to

xcurrencybase - GBP
xcurrencysymbol - £
xdefaultcountry - UK
xlanguage - ENGLISH

You will also need to update your currency table. You can edit and add currency values to this table by entering your shop administration and going to :
Occasional Tasks -> International -> Currency Tables

The currency that has "1"in the conversionvalue field is the default currency and controls the master rate. So if your site is to display in British Pound then you would set British pound conversionvalue field to 1.

For details information please see http://www.vpasp.com/helpnotes/shopexd.asp?id=759

Thanks
Cam
