Hi All, I need to show different headers and trailers on some pages, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I copied the default.asp and renamed it new_boats.asp, and I want to be able to call a different header and trailer for just this page.Can anyone help me with this? I am a begginer , but catch on quick.
Thanks

Well, I just did this yesterday for a new v6 install, so if you don't have that, you're mileage may vary. Anyways, I did the following:
in shoppageheaders.asp, there is a procedure (sub) called ShopPageHeader. Copy the entire function (to the first place you see 'end sub' and then paste it below. Call this sub 'ShopPageHeader_Default', or whatever you want to call it. Then edit the line in the sub that says
%> <!-- #include file="shoppage_header.htm" --> <%
change this to the template file you want to use.
Finally, in your default.asp, change the the line <%shopPageHeader%>
to the name of the sub you just created. Repeat the process for the trailer templates if you like as well. |

Hi Craig, Thanks for the quick response. I can't find shoppageheaders.asp. I see shoppage_header.htm. Where do I find shoppageheaders.asp ? I pretty much understand the rest.
Thanks Again

Sorry Jay, I typo'd that one. It's actually shopheaders.asp, not shoppageheaders.asp. |
