I don't know if this is possible. . .
I would like to be able to lock a category. This would mean that the products in the category cannot be updated by any database update means, such as bulk import. I find that after changing descriptions on individual products, prices etc., I update products with bulk update only to find I inadvertently changed something back. This applies to any ccode that exists in multiple categories.
Or, even a product lock: this would be a true-false - once a product is locked, the information for that particular product could not be updated.
