Hello,
It is my first time using VP-ASP shopping cart
I have 2 questions. please answer
1) i want to create left-hand navigation for categories and sub-categories in shopdisplayproducts.asp. i tried using the code given in shopforums for VP-ASP 5.0, but do get error in javascript.

2) i want to add a column in shopping cart for entering special text for customers.

Hi Asok,

I would recommend to just get a shopping template if you're not a a programmer/designer. It cost me less than $100 but it paid off the time and hours I spent beautifying the entire website which I have tried working on for 6 mos. Then I just ended up getting a template. One day work but looked like a long term return of investment.

(note that NavigateCatJavaList is something that you'll have to get separately from the vpasp guys, but it's free)

For text that you want the user to enter on each product, you can use features; there's a feature-type which allows for usertext which I think will give you what you need.
