The proper way to use VPASP as a shopper is to create an account the first time and then log into it for additional purchases. Unfortunately we cannot always get a shopper to do it that way. I notice many do not login and just create new customer records each time they purchase.

Is there a way to keep duplicate Customer records from being created? If they type in the same info into shopcustomer.asp which already exists in a previously created record, that no new record is created.

Hi,
I believe that you'll find it in the Configuration Table


xcheckexistingcustomer

When adding a new customer during checkout, check that the customer does not already exist
