 problem with credit card details

I have a recurring problem with receiving credit card details (payment details) from some shoppers across my 3 vpasp stores (1x 4.5 2x 5.5)

The sale is completed successfully in all cases, but no payment details are returned, and no emails are sent to either myself or the customer.

When I check the order details
all the ocardxxx fields are empty.
Cancelled is set to FALSE
IPAddress is set
CustomerCancled is FALSE

I have asked customers whose details I havent received and they are sure they have completed the sale preocess to the end.

Problem is there seems to be no pattern as to what triggers this, most of the time everything works fine. No matter what I set my own browser security settings too it allways works for me, I have been unable to reproduce the problem.

Im using a shared SSL system, and I don't have a P3P file setup.

Basically it goes...

http://mysite.co.nz hands off to https://myhost.co.nz/mysite/ then back to http://mysite.co.nz

and as I said most of the time things work fine.

Has anyone experianced anything similar to this ?

Regarding setting up P3P

Am I right in thinking that if I set up P3P for http://mysite.co.nz it will fail when it gets to https://myhost.co.nz/mysite and cant find the P3P files ? (being a shared SSL server Im asumeing a P3P policy that will cover all users is most unlikely)

Any help appreciated.

I had the same problem with my version 4. I traced it back to the Firefox browser. I discovered that customers using Firefox bypassed the credit card details page and went straight to the thankyou page.
