I would like to display a list of special offers on the Shop's Home Page.

Something like "This Weeks Specail Offers", and change it each week, or indeed switch off all offers when required.

Can anyone advise how to do this?

What would you be displaying in that section?... just a product title and a sale price? I have done stuff very similar to this in the past and I could post some code here that would enable you to do that.

You can use the random feature of VPASP. Just add <%DisplayrandomProducts%> to the location where you want the products displayed. Then go into the administration area and edit the following fields:

xfrontpagefield frontpage
xfrontpagevalue Sale
xfrontpagerandomfield Yes
xfrontpagerandomvalue Sale

The way this works is, for those products you mark as Sale in the frontpage field (located in your products table), will be displayed in your page.
