I have a client who has 2 types of customers for their jewelry products. Consumers/public and dealers/resellers. They have dealers sign up as regular customers then they go in via Administrator and change their CustomerTypeID to 2. This lets me adjust pricing/discounts accordingly.
Now they want to have it so the dealers/resellers can see new product lines before the public. I am very good w/ ASP and have adequate/intermediate knowledge of customizing VP-ASP 5. I don't see an easy way to implement this. I was hoping you could make some suggestions as to what fields I might use and if there are any features (that I am less familiar with) that might help in making this work.
Assuming I put all the new (hidden from the public) products in a special category (or categories) how can I globally control whether or not the categories and products are seen based on CustomerTypeID = 2?
