 Problems with item export/import data.		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

We have tried everything to bulk export or import items. We are using 4.5 with MSsql database.
Our ccnames and descriptions have html code which seems to be causing a problem with the data ending up in wrong categories regardless of what delimerter we have tried. (|, ~, tab)
Anyone have any suggestions or tried and true methods?

The only way we have found to be able to do this, and I would very much welcome any other insights, is to once you have exported the file to open it as a text file and simply ensure that every record is on the one line.

Records with HTMl entries seem to always appear on a new line so by deleting the line breaks you can display the import correctly and even open as a csv for easier editing.

Painful true but it works.
