Hi there,

Does anyone know how to import excel file's data to database? I have to import a lot of product data to db. I used vpasp5.0 plus MSsql. Any feedback really appreciated! If someone can do this project for me please email at [email protected]. Thanks very much!

Why not change the .xls name to .csv, upload to your server and use the Bulk Import Tool provided in the admin?

Make sure your fields match the fields in the database.

If you have inserted the top level category id and the final sub category id into the file to be imported it will work without modification.

There are a couple of drawbacks in that you can only have the one number in a given field so you cannot import products with multiple features or that reside in multiple categories but it will certainly save you a lot of work.
