Im currently considering using Worldpay WorldDirect with the additional Guarantee against fraud.
The charges for the insurance seem reasonable considering the high volume of credit card fraud thses days, the cost is 1% of the transaction value + £20 per month, seems good value to avoid fraud.
But is there a catch?
Can anyone provide any feedback on their experience of using Worldpay's guarantee. Good or Bad.

Yes, we use it, though to be honest WorldPay's anti-fraud stuff is pretty good so you don't always need it that much - have always paid out for us so far - don't think they now take on high-risk sites such as dating, web hosting etc.

Thanks for the feedback, Ive been worried about the Risks and costs of fraudulant transactions,
I think the cost of the guarantee is definately worth it if there are no catches.
I noticed on this forum someone stated they negotiated better terms with worldpay http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/vpaspforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2085
do you think it is realistic to pursue better terms for the Worldpay direct with guarantee?

There's nothing to stop you trying, especially if you have an established track record - I must admit that I didn't know they were open to negotiation - we've been with them 3 years with a good record so I'll be on the phone tomorrow!

Why would you not want to pursue better terms? if you are smaill then a couple of percent may noy seen big to you, but the reduction in charges saves me approx £2000.
It is also possible to get the to improve on the remittance period, i had to wait 6 weeks to get anything from them, it got to the point they were holding 30 - 40k of mine at any one time, i now have it so that there is a 7 day remittance period
as for the gurantee, i stopped using it and had it cancelled, as in the year i had it i only had to make 1 claim for £20, the key is to use worldpays inbuilt anti-fraud,
i site i use quite a bit in the UK for keeping track of fraudster is http://www.early-warning.org.uk/ well worth the £40 year membership fees
At the end of the day, it does not hurt to send them a few emails pushing for better terms, if you get it then its a few more beer tokens

How is worldpay compared to paypal, is it global, can i use it in Spain....from my point of view, paypal's process for accpeting credit cards from customers is lengthy and tedious, i'm looking for a company where the transactionas (or the process of making transactions) are quicker and easier...any comments?
thanks

Just to update, I've got them down to 7 days remittance and are currently negotiating the rate, though I haven't got down as far as searley yet. So, if you've been with them for a while, then they are open to negotiation

Uksports..
I had to get them to move in small steps, infact i have it in my diary to contact them to push further soon.
i have also managed to get them to reduce the WorldAlert charge
all in a few emails bouced back and forth, stating i'll use barclays as they have offered something cheap(slight lie) has saved me several thousands a year!
which means more toys for me!!!
