I'm going to be upgrading v3 to v5, and I have some concerns. The shopping cart runs on SQL, and I've made quite a few modifications to it. Because of that, I know that the upgrade isn't going to be a quick and simple thing.

So my question is this... If I start the upgrade and upgrade the database, will the v3 version still be operable?

Have you started the conversion yet? Just wondering what issues you may be having? I am in the middle of a hairy upgrade and it is not going very well.
