Hi All
Is there a way to format the "Special _Orderbutton" on the tmp_product.html template for shopexd.asp.
I would like to be able to position the Buy button better, it is stuck below the product features radio buttons and makes my page look very lopsided.
eg: http://www.nickrains.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=160
Hope someone can help.
Cheers

Without going into major code surgery to get the cell that contains the button below the table so you can center it, try this.
In shop$colors.asp around line 164 locate const TemplateButtonColumn="<td align=center valign=middle>"
change the center tag to left.

See Page 28, Section 6.4 in 5.0 Option Pack guide. Instead of using [SPECIAL_ORDERBUTTON] you vcan separate the fields. You start with [ADD_FORMSTART] use [ADD_QUANTITY] for a quantity field and [ADD_ORDERBUTTON] for the actual button. End with [ADD_FORMEND]. You will also need to put the hidden [ADD_PRODUCT]. You can place these tags anywhere on page you want as long as they are within the start end. It worked great for me.

thanks for posting this, but when I remove the special_orderbutton and replace with the tags below I lose my product features..
is there anyway to place these manually into my template?
Also when clicking on the order button in extended descriptions is there a way to bring up another page rahter than the shopping cart? i.e when you click on 'order product' it takes you to the shopping cart, can it go to say a page that simply says thanks for your order (i'm using pop-ups for the extended description and want to keep people on one page if possible aside from the extended pop-ups)
Thanks |

Hi there,
If you have a look in the tmp_product.txt file you will see what items you can use i nthe extended description template.
For example:
[add_formstart] [add_productfeatures] [add_quantity] [add_orderbutton] [add_product] [add_formend]
Can be used to replace the special_orderbutton routine in tmp_product.htm.

Hi,
Can this methodology also be used for pages with Inventory products? I want to be able to reformat the Special_Orderbutton layout for all my products, even those with sub-products.
Thanks |
