Is there an easy way to turn off the Grid/List buttons on the category pages?

I would like them to not be there. I''m running version 8.1.0.2

Seems to me Version 7 had an ''on/off'' setting in the control panel but I can''t find it in this version.

You may try setting following shop configuration values to list or grid view and the icon won''t be shown.

xproductfiltering_mode
xproductfiltering_defaultmode (it will be having value ''both'' by default)

Say if you want all products to be displayed as list the values should be

xproductfiltering_mode - list
xproductfiltering_defaultmode - list

try to remove the following code in shopgridlist_subs.asp
