Hi,

I am using VPASP 6.5 with some BYZ mods. It uses SQL Server on a Windows box and payments through Internet Secure. It has been working fine for 8 years now. Last week, the hosting company changed the server it is housed on, and we started having problems.
After some fixes, payments now go through, but intermittently, when a customer processes an order they get this message:

"Order could not be updated. Session details have been lost. Please contact the merchant."

The payment goes through, but the cart is not updated to show it paid.

Internet secure added the new IP to their whitelist, and it seemed to work, but is now behaving the same. Any ideas where to look?

Thanks in advance,

Al

Hi Al,

Have a look at the following FAQ and see if this helps:

Hi Cam,

The problem was actually in relation to the payment gateway. Once the customer passes through to the payment gateway and makes the payment, they press a button to return them to the site, which then updates the cart to reflect payment has been made. This is where the customer would get the error message.

We have tried changing the setting in the isgateway.asp to reflect the returnurl as https:\\ .... where in the past it was set to http:\\ ..... the http:\\... worked fine on the old server and the isreadme.txt reflected an http address. In testing so far, it seems to work, but it was intermittent before, so will wait to see results.

Will update status when I know more
