Hi

Im using 6.5.

After customers fill in their address and delivery details they have a few options for payment , one is paypal

when they arrive at the paypal payment page they can choose to pay with their paypal account , all fine

however if they choose to pay without using an account they have to fill in their address details , AGAIN

do i have the wrong type of paypal integration ? id prefer their address details were prefilled from the details they already entered on the vpasp cart system

Id like customers to go through from VPASP cartand arrive on a paypal page that states they can use a GUEST c heckout and not open a paypal account as one option

any thoughts ?

how can i tell if im using standard paypal or paypl IPN ??

experimenting it seems the paypal address used is controlled solely in the vpasp admin > setup > payments >xpaypalemail setting

i seem to have two asp files in my vpasp

paypalcheckout and paypaIPN checkout , not sure which is being used

i think easy to find out. if u are using ipn, during checkout moment u will be seeing yoursite.com/paypalipnshopcheckout.asp

So it appears there is 4 types of paypal integration ?

paypal standard
paypal express
paypal IPN
paypal Pro ( monthly fee )

?

Paypal have contacted me providing instructions to "upgrade" to paypal express but im pretty sure their instructions provided are relevent to version 7 users and above

?

EXPRESS Checkout Activation Instructions:

Log in to your VP-ASP administration area
Choose Modules, Payment Gateways
Choose PayPal configuration
Set xPayPal_Express_Checkout to Yes
and Set xPaypal to No


Please click on the link below to generate you API details for the next step:

https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_get-api-signature&generic-flow=true
Set xPayPal_API_Password to your API Password
Set xPayPal_API_Signature to your API Signature
Set xPayPal_API_UserName to your API Username
Save the settings by pressing continue.

as i know vpasp 7 easy enough to setup paypal express in admin.
